“Shouting Out For England” is an original England FIFA World Cup 2026 charity football song sung by primary school football fans from South London, with crowd chants from kids from all over the country.

All proceeds from the campaign go to Football Beyond Borders – a UK charity that works with young people from areas of socio-economic disadvantage who are passionate about football but disengaged at school, to help them finish school with the skills and grades to make a successful transition into adulthood.

We are aiming to reach the No. 1 spot in the UK Singles Charts on Friday 5th June so we will be topping the charts when FIFA World Cup 2026 starts in Mexico City on Thursday 11th June.

We need your crowd chants…

We’re inviting english schools to help by recording pupils performing our “England” and “Come On England” chants to add to the single. It’s super easy all you need is a phone with voice recording and a lot of enthusiasm. The whole process can be done in 5 minutes. Details of how to record and how to submit your recordings can be found here.

Are you a celebrity? Do football fans worship the ground you walk on? If so we need you. We’re looking for celebs to pitch in by recording their most encouraging “Come On England” for the outro of our single. You can do it on your phone. A selfie video would be great but just audio is fine. It’s easy – just record yourself saying “Come on England” and email it to us at celeb@shoutingoutforengland.com.

22 years ago, (very) amateur musician Alex wrote and submitted a song for the Christian O’Connell XFM Breakfast Show’s ‘Song For Euros 2004’ football song competition. It was shortlisted and played on the show, but was pipped to the post by a more polished entry!

The song gathered dust until 2025 when Alex’s primary school aged kids came across it. They loved it and thought it would make a great anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with updated lyrics and a proper recording of course. And so “Waking Up For England” became “Shouting Out For England”, and the rest, is history (hopefully!).

How to record your crowd chants…

Any English primary school can submit one “Come On England” chant and one “England” chant as follows:

1) Find somewhere to record, ideally without much echo and background noise – a playing field is ideal but if you only have your school hall, or even a classroom, that will do.

2) Line up the kids as if you were taking a class photo. A maximum of six kids per row is ideal.

3) Use a computer or similar with a loud speaker to play the guide tracks:

“Come On England” – click to play/download

“England” – click to play/download
(perform just the ‘England’ – NOT the claps)

4) Use the voice-memo setting on your phone to record checking the levels first so it is not too distorted when you play it back. If the kids are too loud, move further away from them.

5) The guide track plays four times with the demo vocals. After this it plays without and this is when the kids need to do their versions.

6) There are gaps in the guide track for them so you can leave it on when recording.

7) It will be helpful to visually count the beat as some of the guide clicks/notes are removed so they don’t sound over the start or end of the kids’ vocals.

8) Once you’re happy with the recordings email them to us at kids@shoutingoutforengland.com along with the completed release form (word document).

We reserve the right not to include your recordings for any reason – sorry!
